Groups
Parkside Groups are opportunities for on-going engagement with other Parksiders through social, spiritual, educational and political connection in smaller more intimate settings.
The Parkside Justice Team invites everyone to join our new Racial Justice Reading Group, which will begin meeting Sunday, April 5 at 12:15PM. We will be reading the book "Metaracism".
The reading group will meet every other week and will also be following the "Road to Repair" legislative agenda currently before the California legislature.
For those who missed the March 1 Reparations presentation, here's a link to the PowerPoint:
The Spiritual Journeys book group will discuss a book that encourages, challenges and inspires our spiritual walk.
In April, we will discuss "Your God is Too Small" by J.B. Phillips. We encourage people to read the book during the month of March. You can still come and participate even if you haven't ready the book.
Every other month we will discuss a book with each in-between month to be used for reading the book. We will have one book discussion per book.
Open to all. If you have any questions, contact Olu Gittens.
