Planning for Parkside’s Future -- Congregational Town Hall Meetings, Fellowship Hall, Sept. 23, after worship, and Sept. 26, 7 PM
For more than a year, the Strategic Planning Committee, led by Rev. Michael Dack, has reviewed, analyzed, dreamed and proposed. Through their analysis, the Strategic Planning Committee found that our current organizational structure may inhibit our ability to fully live into our core values and commitments. In response to a SWOT Analysis (Strengths/Weaknesses/Opportunities/Threats) and our rapidly changing times, the Committee researched and designed a different organizational model.
At the Council retreat in August, the Council voted to affirm the Strategic Planning Committee's proposed governance structure and correlating changes to the by-laws. These town hall meetings provide the opportunity, at two different times, for members to offer input before voting on proposed changes to the by-laws at a special congregational meeting on October 28. These are exciting times at Parkside. Everyone’s voice is important as we dream together about our beloved church's future.
