Rev. Susan will be on sabbatical from May 26 until September 21 (thanks to a grant from the Lilly Endowment).  During that time, worship will be conducted by three experienced pastors,
Jim Guida, Mark Throckmorton, and Bob Finch. Additionally, we, as a congregation, will be in our own renewal. We kick-off our Summer Sabbatical Season with an All Church Retreat June 27-29 at Sierra Pines camp and retreat center, led by Sandra Lommasson, Co-Director of Bread of Life, Center for Spiritual Formation (see below). Also, this summer at Parkside Church, we will offer a series of Saturday workshops which explore Spirituality and the Creative Arts and provide a way for each of us to connect with our creative and playful side where the Spirit can speak and inspire.

July 19, Michael Bayard, principal percussionist with the Sacramento Symphony, will conduct a Drum Circle and Music Healing Workshop.

July 26, Marjorie Smith, Faculty for Bread of Life spiritual direction program, will lead a workshop in Sacred Movement.

August 9, Ron Lagerstrom, Spiritual Director with Bread of Life, will lead a workshop Creating Sacred Space using the Visual Arts.

August 23, Rena Grant, Spiritual Director at Bread of Life, will lead a workshop in Journaling, the write way for spiritual growth.

September 6, Rev. Bob Finch, member of Parkside, will conduct a Workshop in Creative Dramatics.

Each of these Saturday Workshops will begin at 10:00, break for a light lunch, and then continue until 2:30 or 3:00. You are welcome and encouraged to attend any and all of these workshops.

· How is it with our communal soul at Parkside? What is the Spirit’s invitation to US in this place?
