Text Box: Parkside is committed to extending God’s radical hospitality and inclusive love to Sacramento’s LGBT community. Being an “Open and Affirming” congregation means we welcome and accept all of God’s children as our brothers and sisters in Christ. For many who have been judged and hurt by Christian churches, we are a place they can call home. Sac Pride Parkside participates in the Sac Pride event each June. Last year Rev. Dr. Susan, along with nearly 200 other clergy, marched in the parade bearing witness to God’s love for all. Our booth was visited by many who found a friendly group of church members ready to share the good news of Christ’s love. Rainbow Festival Over Labor Day weekend, the Rainbow Festival offers Parksiders another opportunity to extend our hospitality. Photo buttons were a hit this year at our booth and so was a “cup of cold water” offered in Christ’s name.
