The Food Closet provides emergency food for nearly 4000 individuals monthly.  Clients include single parent families, welfare recipients, homeless and a large working poor population. We dispense food to people who live within seven zip codes of south Sacramento.  
              A core group of 30 -35 volunteers also include many members of the governing Board of Directors.  A part-time coordinator and receptionist are our valued employees.
              A food package for one person is sufficient to feed three meals for three days, with caloric and protein balance considered.

Local TV station, KCRA, conducts a food drive in the public schools.  We receive many donations from the Kids Cans program.
