Reaching out to the LGBT community is an important ministry of Parkside.  Sac Pride, the Rainbow Festival, the AIDS Walk and the LGBT Family Support Network are ways in which we extend God’s loving welcome to all.

Outreach to Costa Rican communities is the latest of Parkside’s ministry efforts. The first church mission / service trip took place in January of ‘08 and it won’t be our last.  A life transforming experience created blessings for the receivers and the givers as well.  See the photos for a glimpse into this adventure.

Living out our faith and working in service of God’s plan is important at Parkside.  Here are a few of our many ministries.

Our Ministries

Our Commitment to the Whole Person includes education, advocacy, and training for healthy choices in many facets of life.  Tai Chi and Svaroopa Yoga classes are offered weekly. We also express support and love through the gift of teddy bears and prayer shawls.

Health Ministry

The Food Closet serves many needy families, individuals, and homeless.  In 2006 the Food Closet serves over 3000 individuals monthly.  Parkside does our share in supporting this vital ministry.

SSIP Food Closet

Church World Service Support

Parkside offers support to Church World Service, sponsors of the CROP Walk.  Each year neighbors walking together take a stand against hunger in our world.   We walk because they walk for food, water and other necessities of life.
