Reverend Derril Peabody – Interim Minister

Rev. Derril is an ordained United Church of Christ Minister serving churches throughout his career in Kansas, Northern and Southern California, Wisconsin, and Nevada. Previously, he has served UCC churches as interim minister in Oroville, Salida, Modesto, San Luis Obispo, Escondido and Reno, Nevada. Rev. Derril is termed an Interim Transition Specialist, by the Interim Ministry Network (IMN), a national networking and accrediting organization for Interim Ministers. He serves on the steering committee of the Interim Ministry Guild of Northern California Nevada Conference of the UCC. Recently he was designated "Interim Transition Consultant" by the Center for Congregational Health in Raleigh, North Carolina. Rev. Derril is a highly creative, energetic interim minister and has a strong track record of helping churches through the exciting process of transition. He began his ministry at Parkside on Sunday, January 30, 2011.

Sheron Vollstedt - Administrative Assistant 

Sheron Vollstedt is the new Administrative Assistant at Parkside Community church.  The new office hours are 9:00am – 1:00pm, Monday through Friday.  Sheron is a fifth generation Californian and she graduated from C.K.McClatchy High School (as did her father).  She attended American River and Sierra Colleges.  She has three children: a son in Alaska, a daughter in Colorado and a daughter in Southern California.  She also has eight grandchildren.  Sheron was a bank teller for twelve years and managed dental offices for over fifteen years.  She followed her childhood dream and became a flight attendant from 2001 – 2006.  For the past four years, she has substituted for the Office Manager and been a volunteer at Faith Presbyterian Church.

Becky Anton— Faith Community Nurse

An RN with her Masters degree, Becky's advocacy, education
and attentive care serves Parkside’s Health Ministry and the greater community.  Blood Pressure checks are offered to Parksiders once a month after worship.  Becky co-teaches the Tai Chi and Yoga classes and keeps office hours on Tuesday afternoons.  She is available to help you find answers your health questions.  In October 2011, Becky was recognized by UCC and became a Commissioned Minister of Congregational Health.
